….Vows to build Stronger Party
Pastor Peter Olagookun has been returned as the Ondo State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party while Comrade Oluwayomi Adekunle was re-elected as Ondo State party Secretary.
Other officers elected included; Comrade Ibrahim Shuibu as State treasurer, Hon. Apata Johnson as Vice Chairman (Ondo North Senatorial District), Hon. Ojo Olubodade has Vice Chairman (Ondo South Senatorial District) Dr. Tunde Adejuyigbe has Vice Chairman (Ondo Central Senatorial District) and others 33 people also emerge in the various State executive positions.
The officers were returned through the party’s Congresses that started with ward congress on 24 November 2025, followed by local government congress on 1st December, 2025 and on Monday 08, December, 2025 the State Congress was conducted where the state officers were elected.

In his acceptance speech, Pastor Peter Olagookun appreciated the Party Delegates, leaders and Stakeholders for the trust bestow on him to spend another four years in office,
He said, “I want to thank you all for the opportunity bestow on me to go for another term in office. I and my Executive members will work more than our first time to build and to strengthen the party.
‘As you all know that our party the NNPP is the only strong opposition party in Ondo State, in our last term we participate in every Election and we make impact.
“This time around we are going to 2027 Election to win, we will present a formidable Candidates for State Assembly and National Assembly, we will present our party as the only alternative party in Ondo State, we will work, will campaign and we will win, by God Grace.
“We all hear what our National Leader His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwanwaso said on the issue of the insecurity in our country, so by God Grace when we take over power in 2027 we are going to resolve the issue of insecurity in our country.
“Just has our party name implies New Nigeria People’s Party we will build a New Nigeria for all and all our citizens will be happy and live without fear again.
“Also permit me to thank the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Security Agency The DSS, The Press and the Nigeria Police Force who came to monitor the Congress to make sure it was successful, thank you all,” he said.
