Anglican Diocese set to Confer Knighthood on ex-Ondo Lawmaker, Hon.Toluwani Borokini

The Anglican Diocese of Omu-Aran is set to host a special knighthood investiture for a former member of the Ondo state House of Assembly from Akure South constituency 1, Hon. Simeon Toluwani Borokini and his wife, Mrs. Ayobami Borokini, on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The Investiture will take place at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Omu-Aran in Kwara state with proceedings commencing at 11:00 a.m.

The investiture, which will be conducted by His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Festus O. Sobanke, Bishop of the Omu-Aran Diocese, will formally confer on the couple the esteemed titles of Knight and Lady of Saint Christopher.

Simeon Toluwani Borokini served as The Warden of Chapel of Grace, Government House Chapel between year 2017-2024.

The event is expected to draw dignitaries, clergy, and well-wishers who will gather to celebrate the special moment with Hon. Borokini and his wife.

The Knighthood of Saint Christopher is one of the prestigious orders of the Anglican Communion, reserved for members recognized for their service, exemplary leadership, commitment, and contributions to the Church and society.

The upcoming ceremonial service is part of the Diocese’s longstanding tradition of acknowledging dedicated Christians within its fold.
