The BTO Women for Tinubu (BWT) on Tuesday held a solemn end-of-the-year prayer session, bringing together women from across Ondo State to seek divine guidance, peace, and progress for Nigeria.
The spiritual gathering, which took place at the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) Secretariat, Akure, was convened to offer prayers for the nation, Ondo State, and for peace, stability, and unity ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
In her welcome address, the Coordinator, Princess Opeyemi Funmiilayo Adekanbi, warmly received the women drawn from all the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State. She expressed deep appreciation for their unity, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance.
Princess Adekanbi described the gathering as a reaffirmation of women’s faith-driven role in nation-building, stressing that prayers, coupled with purposeful action, remain powerful tools for sustaining peace, strengthening democracy, and securing a prosperous future for Nigeria. She urged the women to remain steadfast, prayerful, and united as ambassadors of peace within their communities.
She also acknowledged the sustained support and leadership of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, whose role as the financier and principal supporter of the group has continued to strengthen its organisational capacity and reach across the State.
According to her, the Minister’s commitment forms part of his broader efforts to galvanise total grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and to ensure a resounding victory in Ondo State in the 2027 presidential election.
Women from all 203 wards and the 18 LGAs of Ondo State were fully represented and collectively offered fervent prayers for national unity, economic stability, peaceful coexistence, and the continued success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. They reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots mobilisation, peaceful political engagement, and the promotion of harmony before, during, and beyond the 2027 elections.
