…says a performing governor deserves a loud ovation
As Owo Local Government Area prepares to accord a warm and enthusiastic reception to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his visit to the ancient town tomorrow, prominent stakeholders have described the tour as timely and commendable.
The Governor’s visit to Owo forms part of his ongoing tour of the state’s 18 Local Government Areas, aimed at strengthening grassroots governance, fostering direct engagement with communities, and assessing ongoing and completed development projects across the state.
Welcoming the Governor ahead of the visit, an All Progressive Congress (APC) Chieftain, Dr. ’Bunmi Eniayewu, a retired Permanent Secretary and former President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ondo State, said Governor Aiyedatiwa deserves a loud ovation for his people-oriented leadership style and commitment to inclusive governance.
According to him, the visit will once again provide a valuable platform for meaningful interaction between the state government and the people at the local level, while reinforcing confidence in the administration’s developmental agenda.
Owo, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and strategic importance in Ondo State, is fully prepared to receive the Governor with enthusiasm in recognition of his developmental strides and responsiveness to the needs of the grassroots. Community leaders, traditional institutions, workers, and residents have expressed readiness to engage constructively with the Governor during the visit.
Dr. Eniayewu noted that the people of Owo are optimistic that the Governor’s visit will further strengthen collaboration between the state government and local stakeholders, deepen mutual understanding, and accelerate development across the local government.
He wished Governor Aiyedatiwa a successful and peaceful visit to Owo and continued success as he advances people-centred governance across Ondo State.
