Ikare Akoko Traditional Council Endorses Senator Olajide Ipinsagba for Second Term, Commends Landmark Infrastructure Projects
The Olukare of Ikare Chief-in-Council, under the distinguished leadership of the High Chief Ofua of Ilepa, has formally endorsed Senator Olajide Ipinsagba for a second term representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
This endorsement was announced during an end of year gathering hosted by the Senator’s team at his residence in Ekan-ile, Ikare Akoko, where traditional rulers and community leaders convened to affirm their unwavering support for his continued service.
On behalf of High Chief Elemeje of Okela Ikare Akoko, the council expressed sincere appreciation for Senator Ipinsagba’s demonstrated courage and consistent support since taking office. They declared unequivocal backing from the Ikare Akoko people, encouraging the Senator to sustain his pursuit of an enduring legacy.
Specific commendations included the electrification of Ekan-Ile community and the construction of a civic center in Oloko Ikare Akoko, initiatives that have significantly enhanced local livelihoods.
Chief Elegure of Odo Ikare Akoko further praised the Senator’s transformative contributions across Ondo North, citing the construction of classrooms at AUD IV Ishakunmi Ikare Akoko, the deployment of streetlights throughout Ikare Akoko, and the erection of a hall at Agolo Grammar School. The council also confirmed that foundation laying for the University of Information and Communication Technology will commence in the coming year, advancing educational infrastructure.
Responding to the endorsement, Senator Ipinsagba outlined forthcoming projects, including the initiation of Oja Oba Ikare Akoko market construction in January and the prompt commencement of the Ekan-Ile access road. He further committed to establishing a creative center in Ikare Akoko, directing the chiefs to identify suitable land for immediate development.
This endorsement reflects broad based confidence in Senator Ipinsagba’s proven track record of delivering people centered governance and sustainable development for Ondo North.
