The former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly and leading aspirant for the Ondo South Senatorial District seat, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele (JMK), has commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the commencement of the party’s nationwide e-registration and revalidation exercise, describing it as a bold, strategic, and forward-looking reform that reflects the progressive DNA of the APC.
Reacting to the flag-off of the exercise, Rt. Hon. Akindele, said the initiative represents a major leap in strengthening internal democracy, expanding party ownership, and repositioning the APC as the most modern, inclusive, and people-driven political party in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to the press on Tuesday in Akure, the first and only female Speaker in Ondo State aligned herself fully with the purpose and spirit of the registration exercise, noting that it would further consolidate the party’s structures, improve credible data management, and deepen grassroots participation, especially among youths, women, professionals, and first-time political entrants.
Rt. Hon. Akindele paid glowing tribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader whose political foresight, courage, and reformist zeal continue to redefine governance and party organisation in Nigeria.
“This e-registration exercise is yet another clear expression of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, an agenda anchored on reforms, innovation, inclusion, and institutional strength. Mr. President has consistently demonstrated that leadership is about building systems that outlive individuals. His actions have not only rekindled confidence among APC members but have also made the party more attractive to opposition figures and even former critics who now recognise sincerity, direction, and capacity in his leadership.” She stated.
According to her, President Tinubu’s inclusive politics, bold economic reforms, and unwavering commitment to party development have strengthened party loyalty nationwide and repositioned the APC as the natural home for progressive minds across Nigeria.
She also commended the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman, and Senator Ajibola Basiru, National Secretary, as well as the Ondo State leadership of the Party, for providing steady guidance, organisational clarity, and unity of purpose at a critical time in the nation’s democratic journey. She noted that under their leadership, the party has continued to demonstrate discipline, internal cohesion, and strategic foresight, particularly through reforms aimed at strengthening party structures, deepening internal democracy, and leveraging technology to enhance transparency, inclusiveness, and effective membership management.
The former lawmaker reserved a special commendation for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, whom she described as a leader of conviction and action, for personally flagging off the e-registration exercise in Ondo State.

She pledged her total and unflinching support to ensure that the e-registration exercise in Ondo South Senatorial District becomes a model of success, stressing that this would be driven not only by the Governor’s roots in the district but also by deliberate, structured, and people-focused mobilisation.
To this end, the former Speaker disclosed that she has set up multiple door-to-door and house-to-house mobilisation groups across Ondo South to drive awareness, encourage participation in the registration exercise, and galvanise massive grassroots support ahead of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
She urged APC members to fully comply with the exercise and to actively encourage friends, neighbours, and even opposition members to take advantage of the opportunity to join a party she described as “the most credible platform for national renewal and sustainable development.”
“This is not just a party exercise, it is an open invitation to Nigerians who desire progress, stability, and purposeful leadership. Together, we can strengthen the APC, consolidate our victories, and continue the work of building a stronger Nigeria and a greater Ondo State under the continuous Presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” She concluded.
