Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District of Ondo State, has demonstrated a results-oriented approach to public service anchored on people-centred development, institutional strengthening, and measurable impact. Two years into his mandate, his stewardship is defined not by rhetoric, but by delivery across critical sectors.

Education, Human Capital & Youth Development

Education has been a strategic priority. Senator Ipinsagba has awarded over 1,000 scholarships to tertiary institution students across Ondo North and has annually distributed more than 1,000 free JAMB/UTME forms, lowering access barriers to higher education.

In addition, selected indigenes have benefitted from overseas scholarship opportunities, expanding global exposure and skills acquisition.

On infrastructure, the Senator facilitated:
• Construction of six classrooms and staff offices at Ilemopo Comprehensive High School, Irun-Akoko
• Renovation of classrooms across multiple schools including St. John’s Primary School (Ese-Akoko), Ajowa Community Grammar School, Model Primary School Imeri, St. Paul’s Primary School Okeluse, Lennon Jubilee High School Ikare-Akoko, AUD Grammar School Ikare-Akoko, Omolore High School Irun-Akoko, Irun/Ogbagi Anglican Grammar School, AUD School V Ishakunmi, Amuye CAC High School Owo, and selected schools in Akoko North West

He also supported education delivery through hostel materials to Technical School, Oka-Akoko, and laboratory equipment to FMC Annex, Supare-Akoko.

Institutional Development & Policy Leadership

At the legislative level, Senator Ipinsagba sponsored and secured Senate passage of the Bill establishing an ICT University in Ikare-Akoko, positioning Ondo North as an emerging digital innovation hub. The public hearing was successfully held in December 2024, marking a major institutional milestone.

Healthcare & Social Wellbeing

Healthcare interventions include the construction and full equipping of a modern health centre in Akunnu-Akoko, alongside district-wide medical outreaches covering all six local government areas.

These interventions delivered:
• Free eye care services
• Distribution of corrective glasses
• Free surgical procedures (Phases 1 and 2)

He also facilitated hospital equipment supply to the State Specialist Hospital, Ikare-Akoko and FMC Annex, Supare-Akoko, as well as relief materials to rainstorm victims across the district.

Agriculture & Food Security

To strengthen food systems, the Senator facilitated multi-phase training and empowerment of farmers in modern and mechanised agriculture (Phases 1–3). This was complemented by:
• Distribution of fertiliser to approximately 6,000 farmers
• Provision of free seedlings and farm tools to boost productivity and food security

Women & Youth Empowerment

Empowerment initiatives were targeted, practical, and scalable. Programmes included vocational training and start-up support in:
• Soap and toiletries production
• Catering and confectionery
• Tailoring (with sewing machines and seed capital)

In the digital economy space, beneficiaries received ICT and digital marketing training, free laptops, and take-off grants. Additionally:
• 100 female entrepreneurs in Owo and Ose received grants and business training
• Youths received direct financial support to scale existing businesses

Special Empowerment & Employment

The Senator facilitated NDDC youth training and empowerment programmes:
• Batch A – Auchi, Edo State
• Batch B – Akure, Ondo State

He also facilitated employment placements for Ondo North indigenes into:
• Nigeria Police Force
• Nigerian Army
• Rural Electrification Agency (REA)
• Federal and state tertiary institutions (lecturing positions)

Further engagements are ongoing to unlock additional federal and institutional job placements.

Roads & Commercial Infrastructure

To stimulate local commerce and mobility, Senator Ipinsagba facilitated:
• Construction of a 1-kilometre road in Oka-Akoko
• Development of 28 lock-up shops in Oka-Akoko

Civic & Community Infrastructure

Completed projects include modern civic centres in Ikare-Akoko and Oke-Agbe.
Ongoing projects include:

• Town Hall at Okia, Oka-Akoko
• Renovation of the Onisua of Isua-Akoko Palace

Electricity, Energy & Water Supply

The Senator facilitated the distribution and installation of transformers in Owo, Isua-Akoko, Ikare-Akoko and Ogbagi-Akoko.

He also championed solar and alternative energy solutions in rural communities, including the Senate Building of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and facilitated industrial boreholes in Owo, Afo, Oke-Agbe and Ikare-Akoko.

Sanitation & Security Support

Interventions in public safety and sanitation include:
• Construction of modern restrooms at the Police Area Command, Ikare-Akoko
• Financial and logistical support for the Owo Security Summit

Legislative Leadership & Governance

As Chairman, Senate Committee on Public Procurement, Senator Ipinsagba plays a strategic role in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficient use of national resources.

He institutionalised district-wide town hall meetings—a first in Ondo North—ensuring participatory governance and continuous engagement with youths, women, farmers, artisans, students, and traditional institutions.

Inclusion & Community Engagement

The Senator extended targeted support to vulnerable groups, including educational materials and assistance to:
• School of the Physically Challenged, Ikare-Akoko
