GOV AIYEDATIWA LAUDED AS GENDER-FRIENDLY GOVERNOR OVER INCLUSIVE APPOINTMENTS IN ONDO CIVIL SERVICE
The Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been widely commended for promoting gender balance and inclusiveness following the recent confirmation and appointment of Permanent Secretaries and key statutory officers in the state civil service.
In a press release issued by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Seun Osamaye, it was stated that the Governor’s approval of the confirmation of 32 Permanent Secretaries featured a remarkable number of women prominently on the list.
The statement further notes that the development has strengthened the public’s perception of Governor Aiyedatiwa as a gender-friendly leader committed to equal opportunity in governance.
The statement adds that the appointments reflect the Governor’s belief in merit, fairness, and the strategic inclusion of women in decision-making positions.
Dr Osamaye said the confirmed officers are experienced female professionals who have distinguished themselves in the Ondo State Civil Service over the years.
She said the appointment of women in the present administration is a major boost for women’s participation in governance, saying it aligns with global best practices and Nigeria’s commitment to gender equity in public administration.
