Olawoye Lauds Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Visionary Leadership, Says Governor is Delivering on Infrastructure Promise

The Ondo State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, FNSE, FNICE, FNIHTE, has described the commissioning of the Igoba Road in Akure as a clear testament to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to delivering on his promise of prioritizing infrastructural development across the state.

Speaking at the event held as part of activities marking the Governor’s first year in office, the Commissioner noted that Igoba, being one of the fastest-growing communities in the Akure metropolis, will significantly benefit from the improved road network.

According to him, the completion of the single carriageway will enhance mobility, boost socio-economic activities, and improve the quality of life for residents.

Engr. Olawoye highlighted that although time would not permit the commissioning of all completed projects, the administration has recorded remarkable milestones within twelve months.

He listed several roads completed in the Central Senatorial District, including Gbangbalogun–Odole–Odi Olowo Road, Lao–Oke Padi–Odopetu Road, Eco Bank–Oke Arata Road, Ajegunle Road, Oja Oshodi Road, SK Bright Road, Ayeloro Street, Dare Ajayi Road, SITA–Government House Road, Ajipowo Community Roads, Afunbiowo Estate Road, FUTA South Gate Road, Valentino Road, Ayeyemi Road, Funbi Fagun Estate Road, NCI–General Hospital Road, Oke Igbala Junction–Odotu Road, Akure–Oda Road, UBA–WAEC Road, and Gbogi Street.

He commended contractors and stakeholders for their dedication and alignment with the administration’s “OUR EASE” development agenda.

He provided updates on key landmark projects, including the 10km Akure–Idanre dual carriageway, the 6km Akure–Imafon Road, the 5.32km asphalt overlay from Investment Junction to the Federal Secretariat with spur to SIB (70% completed with three signalized junctions installed), and the 6.2km Akure–Ijare.

Engr. Olawoye expressed appreciation to the Governor, stakeholders, engineers, contractors, and community members for their cooperation, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to delivering durable and sustainable infrastructure across Ondo State.
