‎A United States-based business consultant and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Oluwaseun Ajongbolo, has called for peace among party stakeholders in Ondo State following the violence that occurred during the recent ward congress.

‎In a statement issued on Monday, the Akoko-born politician urged leaders and members across factions to sheathe their swords and embrace genuine reconciliation in the interest of party stability and future electoral success.

‎Ajongbolo, a House of Representatives aspirant for Akoko South West/Akoko South East Federal Constituency, warned that prolonged infighting would weaken the ruling party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

‎According to him, political unrest within a ruling party sends dangerous signals, not only to party loyalists but also to investors monitoring the state’s political activities

‎“As a ruling party in the state, political unrest not only undermines party progress, it also sends negative signals to investors and could affect economic opportunities,” he stated.

‎While condemning the violence that reportedly erupted at the party secretariat in Akure and during the ward congress in Idanre, Ajongbolo demanded swift action against those responsible.

‎He called on security authorities, particularly the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, to identify and prosecute individuals involved in acts that could threaten peace and internal democracy within the party.

‎The APC chieftain maintained that unity, discipline, and decisive leadership remain critical if the party hopes to consolidate power in Ondo State and present a formidable front in 2027.

‎He urged party faithful to place collective interest above personal ambition, stressing that dialogue and genuine commitment to peace remain the only sustainable path forward.
