MTN Nigeria has donated solar Powered Borehole to Aaye town in Ifedore local government area of Ondo through the nomination by a Community leaders, Mr. Babajide Rasaki and Prince Peter Adeleye, to tackle shortage of potable water among the residents.
Prince Adeleye is also a contestant to the vacant stool of Alaaye of Aaye town.
At the handing over ceremony of the facility which was done on Saturday the 29th January, 2022, the Representative of the MTN, Mr Kabiru commended the community’s residents for their co-orporation from the inception of the project to the completion.
He said MTN was committed to the welfare of Nigerians as the project was part of an annual one, promising that the company will rollout another season of projects in the next phase.
Kabiru pleaded with the community to safeguard the project and ensure its proper usage.
The MTN Representative appreciated the nominator of the project, Mr Babajide Rasaki for his love and commitment towards the development of the community.
Prince Adeleye Peter promised to facilitate more developmental projects to Aaye community, as it has become necessary considering his love for the town.
Prince Adeleye appreciated MTN for keeping to their promise and providing the borehole at a time people of Aaye were in need of potable water.
Receiving the borehole on behalf of the community, the Regent of Aaye, Princess Taiwo Oyebola Agbona, expressed deep appreciation to the MTN, the two facilitators /nominators,
Mr. Babajide Rasaki and Prince Peter Adeleye, for helping the community to reduce water supply crisis.
During the presentation, the chairman of the quarters, the community chairman and other dignitaries were present to grace the occasion.
