2023: ‘One Million Man March for BTO’ lauds Akoko Monarchs’ endorsement of Hon Tunji-Ojo

A political group, ‘One Million Man March for BTO’, has applauded the second term endorsement of the Federal Lawmaker representing Akoko North East/ North West Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo by traditional rulers in the two local government areas.

Speaking with our correspondent in Ikare Akoko shortly after the Monarchs backed BTO’s reelection,  Comrade Femi Sule, a member of the group, noted that the movement had decided to work ‘tooth and nail’ in ensuring that the lawmaker break the jinx of one term that had sparked unnecessary debate in the public.

In a communique issued at the end of their meeting held on Wednesday in Ikare Akoko, the monarchs numbering about twenty-eight, they expressed satisfaction with performance of Mr Tunji-Ojo popularly known as BTO, since his election into the House of Representatives in 2019 and endorsed his second term ambition.

Also speaking the convener of the group, Pastor Olumide Obadele commended the historic step by the Royal Fathers, noting that members of the group are happy with the decision.

Sule confidently stated that the good deeds of Tunji-Ojo would earn him another term, adding that their members had begun strategizing by traversing the whole consistituency.

Sule said, “We have started working seriously for the reelection of our leader BTO, I am very happy seeing our traditional rulers too endorsing him”

“We have unanimously come together to give our leader a robust support. We have declared our support too. We came to amplify the stance of our royal fathers”

“We have commenced work, part of our strategy for this election is the appointment of unit coordinators across all the 23 wards. One million man march for BTO is fully on ground to canvass for our leader”, Sule said.

The Convener of a political group, ‘One Million Man March for BTO’, Pastor Olumide Obadele opined that “the endorsement by our Royal fathers in Akoko North Federal Constituency, for us is a welcome development, it is a position that is well applauded by our people.

“One thing you can’t take away from this federal constituency, BTO has done very well and done alot of things for our people, which earned him this support. We are glad about it, we are happy and we believe this support and endorsement will go a long way in aiding his (BTO) reelection.

“For us here at One million Man March for BTO, we happy and we are going to give maximum support to him to return to the Green Chamber to represent our Federal Constituency,” the Convener said.
