The lawmaker representing Ilaje/Ese-odo federal constituency , Hon Kolade Victor Akinjo has congratulated Christians in his constituency and Ondo state at large on the occasion of Easter celebration
The lawmaker felicitated the Christian community for the privilege of being partakers in the annual commemoration which signifies the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement , HON Akinjo admonished proponents of the Christian faith to emulate the teachings and exemplary life of Jesus Christ
He said, the reason for the season , is sobriety and deep reflection of individual relationship with God, so that Christ’s sacrificial service to mankind would not be in vain.
He urged them to extend brotherly love not only towards fellow believers of the Faith but also across the board , as this remains one of the drivers of peaceful coexistence among all .
HON Akinjo, also appealed to Christian leaders not to relent in propagating the gospel of Christlike character without season, to address and ammeliorate the myriads of challenges and social ills within the Nigerian society.
He called on the Christian faithful to celebrate in moderation, and extend love to the less privileged within their communities in the spirit of Easter.
In his words “this is Wishing you all a blessed and beautified Easter ,with hope that God’s great love will remain unchanged in your lives.
“I hope we shall Make the most of the season with love in our hearts to loved ones and prayers for the nation at this trying time”
Akinjo expressed the hope for a better Nigeria and urged Christians to raise their voices in prayers to almighty God for total liberation of the nation from the current economic doldrum.
