ICAN confers Fellow Award On Ondo Commissioner Aribo

ICAN CONFERS A FELLOW AWARD ON ONDO COMMISSIONER

The Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr Olayato Aribo, has been conferred with an award, A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Aribo who was elated, while speaking at the 20th edition of the fellowship investiture ceremony which took place on 20th of April, 2022 , at ICAN Centre 12 Kofo Kasunmu Street, Lake View Estate, Phase 1 Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, said his dreams of rising to the peak in the accountancy profession has been achieved with the conferment of FCA.

He added that he had worked diligently to ensure that he met the criteria set by ICAN in financial reporting and compliance in line with international best practice.

Mr. Aribo stated that he had been qualified over a decade ago for the award, appreciated God for giving him the opportunity to get it now.

” I give God the glory for the opportunity to attain the peak of my chosen career, though it came little late. It is better late than never” he said.

The Commissioner who, vowed not to rest on his oars, enjoined practitioners to be involved in adding value to the profession as well as being accountable towherever they find themselves.

ICAN only confers members with this highest status based on proven integrity, post qualification experience, updates in the financial reporting skill, ethical compliance and technical competence as required by the International Federation of Accountant (IFAC) which ICAN is a member.
