Eid-el-Fitr: Sustain The Lessons Of Ramadan, Akeredolu Urges Muslims

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state and across the country on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan and celebration of Eid- el-fitr.

Governor Akeredolu charged the faithful to sustain the teachings of the just concluded Holy month of Ramadan in their undertakings.

The Governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde implored all Muslims to reflect the lessons of Ramadan through sustained supplication and prayers for the peace and progress of the nation.

“The Holy month of Ramadan teaches kindness, forgiveness and sacrifice. We must uphold these teachings and imbibe them as we live together in peace and harmony.

“We must continue to seek God’s face more than ever before. At this crucial time in our nation, we must join voices and seek God’s intervention on the issues of insecurity.

“As we also prepare to elect new leader for the country in the forthcoming 2023 elections, we must pray for God’s choice.” The Governor said.

Governor Akeredolu reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting understanding and peaceful coexistence among the people of the state, irrespective of their religion differences.

OLUBAKA, IMAM LEAD PRAYER IN OKA

Muslims today converged on Oka Akoko, to observe a two rakat prayer to mark this year’s Eld-el-fitri celebration.

At the eid prayer, Olubaka of Okaland Oba(Dr) Yusuf Adebori Adeleye and Chief Imam of Oka Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar led Muslim Faithful to the prayer ground.

Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo state, has urged Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to remember the needy in the society as the faithful celebrate Eid ul-fitr, the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a press statement signed by John Paul Akinduro, his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, Mimiko said “Though, we have come to the end of Ramadan, we must not forget the lessons of the past 30 days of fasting, spiritual renewal, reflection and charity”

The former governor said the country is at a point where people of all faiths must come together to move the nation forward.

According to him; “While Eid marks the completion of Ramadan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, and insecurity. We must remember the needy”.

Mimiko reiterated that Nigeria is a blessed nation and that her strength is in her diversity. He wished Muslims across the country Eid Mubarak.

Eid-El-Fitr: AJIPE FELICITATES MUSLIMS, URGES ALL TO IMBIBE LESSONS OF RAMADAN

As Muslim faithful in Nigeria join the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el- fitri, a leading aspirant for the Ondo North senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Dr Alex Ajipe, has felicitated Muslims across the country.

Ajipe, who particularly rejoiced with
Muslims in his Senatorial District, as well as other Muslim faithful across the country for the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, urged all Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan and the spirit of unity and tolerance for peaceful coexistence.

According to him, Eid El-Fitr marks the end of the Ramadan fasting period, the APC Chieftain stressed the importance of putting the virtues of Islam into practice beyond the fasting season.

While congratulating Muslims on completing ‘this spiritually significant month of Sacrifice’, Ajipe urged them to reflect on the importance of Ramadan in becoming good ambassadors of Islam at all times.

He stated that religion should be the moral compass for all believers in their public and personal lives,’ adding that, “if people allow the teachings of their religions to influence their conducts, problems such as corruption, which diverts public funds to private pockets, would have been eliminated in the society.”

Ajipe maintained that he will be much committed to the well-being and development of his constituents if elected as senator to represent his senatorial district.

He also praised them for their resilience and patience in the face of the challenging insecurity, adding, that, “I will work hard to bring government closer to my people and see to their welfare if given the chance.”

Eid-El-Fitr: Olowa of Igbara-Oke Felicitates Muslims

Olowa and Paramount Ruler of Igbara-Oke kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Francis Adefarakanmi Agbede has congratulated Muslims in Ondo State, Nigeria and all over the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

In his message, the monarch said the celebration which marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the month of prayers and supplications, blessings and forgiveness, and also provided another opportunity for the Muslim faithful to reflect deeply on the awesomeness of God in the face of challenges and the need for mankind to subject themselves to the will of Allah.

“The spirit behind the observance of this season for Muslims brothers and sisters is to express their appreciations to Almighty Allah for giving them the courage to observe the fast in the Holy month and rededicate themselves to the truthfulness, sincerity, self control, patience and human dignity, showing complete obedience to Allah,” says Oba Agbede.

He said it is important to forgive one another of our mistakes and forget the past, and reiterated the importance of love, peace and unity in the process of building a glorious nation where there is no place for hatred. .

Oba Agbede also reminded every member of the Muslim community their obligations and responsibilities towards others, especially the poor and downtrodden for peaceful coexistence and equitable progress of the state and nation at large.

He therefore enjoined all Muslims across the nation to use this season of celebration to pray for the continued peace, prosperity and development of our country Nigeria, and he expressed hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of peace, progress, happiness and would strengthen the bond of collective harmony, brotherhood and amity which are hallmarks of our nation’s growth and development.

PRAY CEASELESSLY FOR NIGERIA, ODHA URGES MUSLIMS AT EID-EL-FITRI.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has called on Muslims to continually pray for Nigeria to overcome her numerous challenges.

In their message on occasion of this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration, the lawmakers noted that with continuous prayers, Nigeria’s problems can be surmounted.

The House in a statement signed by the Assembly spokesperson, Akogun Olugbenga Akinola Omole congratulated Muslims on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-fitri.

Members however urged moderate celebration in view of the economic situation in the country.

The Lawmakers called on Muslims to continually pray to Allah for a choice of good leaders to pilot the affairs of the country as the nation goes into another round of electioneering, adding that this is the only way we can again assume our enviable position in the comity of nations.

Speaking through the Speaker, Rt Honourable Oleyelogun Bamidele David, the Lawmakers called on bandits and other groups threatening the existence of the nation to desist before nemesis caught up with them.

While urging a rewarding Eid-el-fitri celebration, the House advised the leaders to evolve socio-economic policies that would reposition the the country for good.

The body of lawmakers pledged to continually legislate on issues that would bring positive development to the people and the state.
