Breach of Agreement: Rivers Court restrains IPMAN from interfering with the NDSS’s rights and obligations

A Rivers State Customary Court holden at Choba, has issued a restraining order against Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigerian (IPMAN) from intermeddling, interrupting or interfering in the contractual rights and obligations of the NDS.SURVEILLANCE NIG.LTD first Claimant and IBIFURO JONAH FINUMA, second Claimant.

In a Suit No: CCC/94/2022, the Court ordered that leave is hereby granted the applicants to serve the defendants the originating summons and every other subsequent processes in the suit.

The Court made an Order on 2nd day of August,2022 , restrained IPMAN and other defendants from intermeddling, interrupting or interfering in the contractual rights and obligations of the NDS.SURVEILLANCE NIG.LTD and in the execution of the contractual rights and obligations as contained in the agreement dated 5/3/2021 between both parties in the Niger Delta and the Eastern region of the country.

The Order of Court reads thus:
“The application of the learned counsel to the claimants/applicant’s L.O Ojims (Esq) having considered all the affidavit evidence(s), especially the affidavit of urgency and the annexure thereto as well as the issues of law raised and canvassed by the said learned counsel”.
