Ondo, Oyo NMA Chairmen visit Akeredolu, eulogise late mother

•All Saints’ Church Choir, Committee On Memorial Park and Garden Condole Governor

Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, on Sunday (yesterday), received more dignitaries on condolence visit over the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu (JP).

Among those who visited the Governor and his siblings at the Kopindogba residence of her late Mother are: Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association in Ondo State, Doctor Omosehin Adeyemi-Osowe and his Oyo counterpart, Doctor Wale Lasisi; Bishop of Owo diocese Anglican communion, Rev Stephen Fagbemi; and Bishop of Ibadan North diocese Anglican Communion, Bishop Williams Aladekugbe.

During the visit

Others include: The Choir of the All Saints Church, Jericho, led by the Choir master, Engr. John Morakinyo; and the Chairman of the Church’s Committee on Memorial Park and Garden, Prof. Lanre Denton.

Speaking on behalf of the NMA, Doctor Omosehin Adeyemi-Osowe noted that the late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation by all African mothers.

“We are here to commiserate with you on the demise of your mother. She lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation by all African mothers. We are here to also congratulate you and your siblings for surviving your mother.” The NMA said.

The Bishop of Ibadan North Diocese of Anglican Communion, Bishop Williams Aladekugbe, said the late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu left a good legacy even in the diocese.

The Bishop, who said the diocese will miss Mama Akeredolu so much, rejoiced with the Governor and his siblings for the wonderful life their mother lived.

Similarly, the Bishop of Owo Diocese of Anglican Communion, Rev Stephen Fagbemi, led representatives of the Church to condole the Governor.

He noted that there are good reasons to thank God for the life of the deceased, stressing that the late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu was committed to the service of God.

The Choir of the All Saints Church, Jericho, led by the Choir master, Engr. John Morakinyo, also commiserated with the Governor who is their Grand patron.

The Church’s Committee on Memorial Park and Garden led by the Chairman, Prof. Lanre Denton, urged the Governor and his siblings to take solace in the good work their late mother did while on earth.

They enjoined the Governor and the rest of the family to include the Jacob and Grace chapel built within the memorial park and garden in Ibadan in their plans as preparation for burial rites commences.

Responding, Governor Akeredolu thanked the visitors for the condolence visits.
