OGSA Has Become A Brand- Professional Surveyors
The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyor, NIQS, Ondo State chapter has commended the leadership style of the National President of Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure Alumni Association, Dr. Niyi Ijogun FNIQS.
The team, which paid a courtesy visit to the National Secretariat of the Alumni Association in Akure was led by its Chairman, Prof. Seyi Awodele FNIQS.
Awodele in his message said Dr. Ijogun being a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, has indeed shown that the profession is a noble one.

He said the news of developments that have heralded Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure in the last one year under the leadership of Ijogun has again brought the name of the school to the limelight and has given OGSA more recognitions.
He said the Institute, both at the State and National levels are so proud to have him as one of their own, and happy to be associated with him.
While congratulating the National President and the entire Alumni members on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Oyemekun Grammar School, Awodele assured the President of their continued support and partnership.
Also, the Vice Chairman of the Institute, QS. Temitope Momoh FNIQS, said Dr. Ijogun is a man of many parts with passion for development and bringing people together for a positive drive towards attaining greater heights. According to her, “Ijogun is a builder,” and this is exhibited with the arrays of professionals that surrounded him.
She said the changes he has brought to leadership style of the Alumni Association as man of integrity, dedication and accountability is worthy of emulation, and has given OGSA, a brand of it’s own.
In his response, Dr. Ijogun expressed his appreciation for the show of love and honour given to him by the state chapter of the institute since he became the National President of his Alma mater. According to him, the profession has taught him a lot in the last forty years, and he has never regret his decision in pursuing Quantity Surveyor as a career.
He said Quantity Surveyor is not an art, rather it is a profession that is built on integrity, accountability, commitment and dedication.
As the National President of OGSA Alumni Association, Ijogun said his team has done well. He said the 10th National Executive Council is a formidable team that is focused on rebuilding and championing good cause towards the development of the school.
