*** I agreed with Senator Iyorchia Ayu that PDP has brought us shame…and we’ll not return them to power. – Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju (OMO)
As the long-awaited 2023 Presidential and national assembly elections are held this weekend, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ondo state house of assembly candidate, for Ondo west constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO) has told the people of Ondo Central Senatorial District to use their ballots to send all the PDP candidates in the February 25 and March 11 elections to political oblivion as the party could be best described as an epitome of failure, which also parading candidates that have no electoral value to give the good people of Ondo central any dividend of democracy.
Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumijy(OMO) was on Sunday, February 19, 2023, featured on a special campaign programme on EKI 100.9FM, where he presented the APC candidates from the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ondo Central senatorial candidate, Hon. Adeniyi Adegbomire, SAN, House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Biola Makinde, PhD, Ondo west constituency 1 candidate, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO), Ondo west constituency 2 candidates, Hon. Biola Oladapo and Ondo east candidate, Hon. Oladiji Landmark to the large audience that listened to the programme across the six(6) local government areas that made up Ondo central senatorial district in Ondo state.

OMO took time to roll out the unprecedented achievement of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON from infrastructural development, human capital development, the welfare of workers, security of lives and property and various social intervention programmes which are conspicuous as against the propaganda peddling by the PDP house of assembly candidate for Ondo west constituency 1, Hon. Tomide Akinribido that the led administration of Arakunrin has not carried out any projects, especially in Ondo west local government.
OMO in his campaign told the people about the numerous programmes, projects and interventions he has achieved since his emergence as the preferred candidate of the party in the March 11 house of assembly election, and the unprecedented legislative achievement of Hon. Biola Makinde, PhD, who is seeking re-election to the house of representatives under the party in the February 25 election and that of Hon. Oladiji Landmark from Ondo east.
“I want to tell you, my people, that this coming February 25 and March 11 elections are going be light and darkness, which ostensibly our party the All Progressives Congress is representing the light. “
“Our presidential candidate has a proven track record that is indisputable to all Nigerians, on how he transformed jungle (Lagos) to a mega city, with the fastest growing economy in Africa, creation of community police watch; first of its kind in Nigeria and his brilliance in assembling best brain to steer affairs of governance.
“Our MHR candidate who is being referred to as ” Mr Projects” by his constituents also has proven that APC is a party to beat in any election because of what the party has been to provide in terms of meeting the needs of people through keeping to electoral promises” he said
OMO further said the best way to ensure that the darkness PDP is representing did not take over the light APC has given the people in Ondo Central is to make sure they use their overwhelming majority votes on February 25 and March 11 to send all the PDP and other candidates in the reaming parties to political oblivion, and send them on exile to allow the light of the APC continually shining.
“We must take the confirmation of the national chairman of PDP, Iyorcha Ayu in the Kano rally seriously when he alluded to it publicly that “PDP has brought us shame…and we’ll not return them to power”.
“The national chairman has justified that PDP represents darkness and the best way to chase away the darkness is to bring on the light(APC), through the ballots which I am appealing to you my people to demonstrate in the coming elections”
“The PDP MHA candidate in Ondo west constituency 1, has brought shame to the constituency, and he does not deserve your votes in returning to the State house of assembly on March 11” – OMO
“My good people of Ondo Central, our party APC is soliciting your votes on February 25 for our presidential candidate, Asiwsju, senatorial candidate, Adgbomire, and House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Biola Makinde, PhD and on March 11, your Ondo west constituency 1 candidate, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiji(OMO), Hon. Biola Oladapo, candidate Ondo west constituency 2 and Hon. Oladiji Landmark, Ondo east candidate.”
OMO later enjoined all registered voters who have gotten their PVCs to troop out en mass and cast their ballots in favour of the party and urged the youths not to engage in any form of violence before, during or after the polls as no democratic system of government can work under political furore.
