March 18 Polls: The 2019 Backdoor Election That Produced You Will Be Vehemently Resisted On March 18 —OCMT Knocks PDP candidate, Tomide
*** You Have No Campaign Manifesto To Work On” – OCMT tells Hon. Tomide
As the March 18 state house of assembly election is in top gear in Ondo State, the candidate of the APC for Ondo west constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ofunwumiju (OMO) has intensified efforts in rolling out his campaign manifesto to the good people of Ondo West constituency 1 that is vying to represent in the 10th state house of assembly in June 2023.
Since the beginning of electioneering campaigns by the candidates jostling for the MHA seat for Ondo west constituency 1, OMO has been the only candidate who has developed a clear blueprint (manifesto) of what he intends to do when elected in the March 18 election, other candidates including the incumbent MHA who is also seeking re-election has not come up with any manifesto to justify why people should re-elect him which has made people conclude that he does not deserve to be re-elected as the lawmaker representing the constituency in the state house, but seeking to return to Akure through the electoral malpractice process that brought him in 2019.
Ostensibly, Hon. Tomide has embarked on the campaign of bait to again hoodwink the electorate as adopted in 2019, which eventually led to his poor performance in office and rejection, ahead of the March 18 election. In 2019, Hon. Tomide failed to develop a legislative roadmap for his people, on what he will work on and that is the major justification that he is unable to achieve any meaningful record in the house since his assumption into office as a lawmaker, rather than creating furore, division and unruly behaviour in the state house as a result of having no vision and mission before electing to represent his people.
Within a month after the emergence of Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju(OMO) as the APC candidate, he has developed the legislative blueprint that he will work on and serve as a guideline for him to deliver an effective and efficient lawmaking process for his people in the 10th assembly when elected.
In showing total commitment and signs of readiness for the legislative assignments, OMO came up with these brilliant blueprints which have earned him numerous endorsements from notable associations within and outside the Ondo kingdom, as prominent people in APC, LP, SDP and PDP.
OMO’s Blueprints :
1) Core legislative assignment of OMO
Financial role
Inquiry role
Legislative role
2) His agenda will focus mainly on human capital development considering the strength of our growing population by investing in people which, in turn, turn drives economic growth.
3) Already, as a candidate, OMO had appealed and written letters to the SDG office in Abuja to assist with the renovation of St. Mary’s Anglican School in Ondo. As a result, he has received a response that it has been included in the budget for next year. Therefore, as an honourable member, OMO will use all avenues to create awareness and attract funding for the development of our schools in Ondo city.
4) His constituency office will search for all foundations hone and abroad that give all types of scholarships and grants to students to create documentation which in turn should improve accountability.
5) OMO’s four-pronged approach aims to improve innovation, globalisation, social well-being and increased productivity.
6) OMO will work closely with federal and state parastatals which engage in various educational programmes to include ondo city schools within the scope of their activities.
7) There will be regular outreach programmes initiated by his office that will connect potential sponsors with indigent children for assistance. This transparent approach will give respite to many people at home and abroad and put their minds at ease since they will be encouraged to communicate directly with the beneficiary of their donations.
8) OMO will work closely with the house of a representative member, Hon. Biola Makinde, (also in his political party) by leveraging his network to attract enviable projects and programmes which will benefit his constituents.
9) OMO will institute and encourage proper record keeping of all education grants and scholarships in the Ondo kingdom
10) Constituents will be provided with a drop-box mechanism for physical usage where all complaints and concerns regarding our community will be dropped for onward action.
In less than 5 days to March 18 Ondo state house of assembly election, Hon. Tomide Akinribido has not come up with a single manifesto on what he tends to achieve in the house, which is an indication that his not ready for the job and that he wants to get votes through the back door, as it was used for him in 2019 through unholy collaboration and electoral malpractices by his political godfather(s).
