….. OSAWA LEADERSHIP CONFERS ODU AS FIRST FEMALE PATRONESS
Members of Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Association, (OSAWA), have decorated the first female Secretary to Ondo State Government, Princess Catherine Oladunni Odu as its first Patroness, in recognition of her humanitarian and outstanding service in the Southern Senatorial district and Ondo State in general.
Princess Odu, while welcoming members of the association in her office, stated that part of the development of any society is the presence of youths with selfless spirit and intellectual capacity to spur change, emphasising that with encouragement, they can become great leaders of tomorrow.
Odu noted that she is always ready to support the younger generation, particularly those who are bold and ready to speak up on crucial issues affecting the society. She consequently encouraged them to keep up with the vision of the association by advocating for the interests of Southern Senatorial district till their heart desires are met.
Odu also implored them not to relent in the pursuit of their life goals, noting that she would always be ready to provide needed support and advice in whatever capacity feasible within her means.
Earlier the President of OSAWA, Oluwajuwon Ade-Aworetan, appreciated the Secretary for the opportunity to meet her, maintaining that her giant strides in impacting positively on the lives of the people, not only in the Southern part of the State is immeasurable.
“Since the creation of the Association, the Advisory Council did not consist of a female member, but today we are glad to set a record with Princess Odu coming on board, as the First Patroness,” he said.
Ade-Aworetan, expressed the readiness of the association’s leadership to further promote the interest of youths in the Southern district as well as those in the diaspora, through impactful initiatives and advocacy programmes.
