INSECURITY: OSE COUNCIL BOSS, PRINCE ADEKUNLE BOOSTS COMMUNITY POLICING WITH FORTIFIED POLICE STATION
The Executive Chairman of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state, Hon. Prince Adekunle Dennis has donated a Police Station to the Nigeria Police at Idogun.
Handing over the well equipped station to the Area Commander Owo, ACP Olufemi Awoyale, Adekunle said there is dare need to assist the Police authority to combat crime especially at the border communities.
According to the chairman, “our experience in the last few years had shown that some criminal elements from the neighboring states have been hobnobing, fraternizing and hiding around our villages and camps before carrying out attacks on innocent people.”
This therefore informed our decision to build a befitting Police Station to facilitate police surveillance and intelligence gathering to nip crime in the bud
Adekunle who opined that the officers will work closely with the Military Personnel, Amotekun corps and other local vigilantes to sniff out these criminal elements from their hideouts commended Ondo state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi AKEREDOLU SAN, CON for prioritizing the security of lives and property of the residents of the state saying, the creation of Amotekun has assited a lot at providing adequate security in the state.
The Onidogun, HRM Oba Moses Ekundayo Olorunnimbe Bakare 111 while thanking the chairman appealed for more security presence in the area.
According to the royal father, Idogun has been an escape route for the bandits and other criminal elements using our communities as hideouts.
After commissioning the project, the Area Commander, Owo ACP Olufemi Awoyale promised to empower the DPO Idoani, CSP Ekundayo Friday with a view to deploy more officers to the station.
The police boss who stressed the need for proper upbringing of children by parents explained that, the police will always return to the society whatever the society give to it to recruit.
As he put it, ” train up your child in a responsible manner, give us your best and get better part of us” he concluded.
