The new Ondo State Accountant General, Mrs Esther Oni, FCA has charged woman accountants occupying public offices to always showcase the integrity of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, ICAN wherever they work.
Mrs Oni made the charge in Akure when members of the Society of Women Accountant of Nigerian, SWAN, Ondo State chapter, paid her a courtesy visit in her office.
According to the Ondo Accountant General, her appointment is a credit to every member of SWAN, whom she referred to as stakeholders in the success of her tenure.
A Press Statement signed by the Society’s Spokesperson, Bolanle Olaniyan, FCA, quotes Mrs Esther Oni to have said that, “I always appreciate ICAN as an insntute, because it is through ICAN that we have the platform to express our callungs, professionalism and training which we have received, making us relevant in the scheme of things”
While thanking them for the visit, she solicited the support of members of SWAN for optimum success as the Ondo State AG.
Leader of the team and SWAN Coordinator in Ondo state, Mrs Kehinde Adebayo, FCA congratulated the new Accountant General on what she described as a well-deserved appointment, assuring her of their support at all times.
Highlight of the event was a presentation of an award to the AG as a SWAN Ambassador.
