A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State and forefront gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Alexander Olusola Oke, has said his political ambition is built on the desire to serve the people and put in place a new, progressive order.

Oke, during a virtual media chat with journalists in Akure on Wednesday, gave expression to this as the party inches toward its primary election in April.

His words: “At this level, what is propelling me is not material acquisition but the desire to serve the people of Ondo State differently and leave good legacies, and that is what I am poised to do.

“I know the peculiar challenges of our state. I have studied virtually all the sectors. I understand the straits with the economy and I am prepared to fix it. I have the the bad roads. I have seen the state of the health and a academic institutions in the state. I am resolute to make things work for our people. I am now closer to where I am going than where I am coming from, and, at my age and level of accomplishment, the good welfare of my state are my priorities.”

Chief Oke noted that having excelled in his private calling, it is now his priority to bring excellence to the affairs of the State for the benefits of all.

“I have excelled in my private calling. I’m a successful lawyer by all standards. I have what it takes to emplace a new, progressive order in the State and what should be done to make Ondo State peaceful, prosperous and stable.

“I want to leave a name behind. These are the reasons I believe that, among other aspirants, I am better placed to bring a new order, to bring a new song and formula that will take Ondo State from the present squalor and bring about prosperity in the affairs of the State.” He said.
