APC primary: Olusola Oke in Akoko Southeast, promises rural areas rejuvenation

…..says We’ll Shore Up Ondo’s Economy through Rural Rebuilding.

Forefront gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusola Oke, SAN, has assured the people of the State that, if elected, he would rebuild the rural areas and secure the hinterlands as a way to rejuvenate farming and shore up the State economy.

This was part of Oke’s remarks during his interaction with the leaders and members of the party in Akoko North East local government area, on Friday, at Adekunle Ajasin Hall, Isua-Akoko.

Chief Oke said: “Poverty is now prevalent and it is breeding hunger. The Federal government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is leaving no stone unturned in addressing this challenge. But we must acknowledge the fact that the Federal government alone cannot do it. The State has pivotal complementary roles to play.

“It is to this extent that we need to rebuild our rural areas, secure them and build new roads that would connect to the farms for ease of movement for farm produce to the market. We’ll make farming attractive, encourage mechanised farming and secure the hinterlands so that farmers would feel secure to do their businesses. In so doing, we’ll be able to boost our economy, create jobs and spread wealth among our people.”

Oke who noted that Ondo State needs reliefs and repairs, promised a new season of reward for party members , saying: “We’ll all benefit from APC. It’s a new dawn and it’s going to be about benefits for all of you. You will all be involved, beginning from the ward level. Thankfully, President Tinubu has returned power to the grassroots already by the reason of direct primary election. I implore you to maximize the opportunity.”

Meanwhile, the local government Chiarman for Akoko North East, Hon
Hon Ajayi Johnson, has vouched for the capacity and benevolence of Chief Oke whom he described as a man who knows how to properly care for party members.

In his words, Ajayi said: “Chief Oke places premium on party’s welfare and he understands how to take care party members. He is an experienced person who knows where the shoes pinches. We should therefore choose him a person who is close to the people.”

In Oke’s entourage are the former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Alli Olalusi, Director General, Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation, Hon Bailey Arounmolase, Deputy Director General, Dr Saliu Omotosho, Barrister Ajana Olajide, SAN, Hon Ola Ilesanmi, Hon Gani Dauda, Hon Bola Fisayo, Hon Olaitan Ayeni, among others.
