Ondo 2024: Kolawole Babatunde mobilizes support for Aiyedatiwa

The State Director of Youths and Sports for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) and immediate past Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Rural and Community Development, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde has taken the campaign for the election of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to the nooks and crannies of Akoko.

After the inauguration of the Akoko North West chapter of LACO-FS on Wednesday in Oke-Agbe, the former Federal Legislator paid a courtesy visit to Alhaji Sheikh (Dr.) Batuta Al-Adaby, the Grand Mufti of Ondo State and Fakharul-Ulamãi Yoruba Land, Edo and Delta to enlist the support of the renowned Islamic cleric for the Governor’s election bid.

Earlier today, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde was a guest of the Akoko Youth Development Forum at an event organized by the youth group at the Babafunke Ajasin Hall, Isua-Akoko to galvanize support for Governor Aiyedatiwa.

He was accompanied by Director-General of LACO-FS in Akoko South East Local Government, Hon. Adesina Adeola (Easy Way); the Chairman of the Forum of APC Ward Chairmen in the Akoko South East, Mr. John Adeyemi; APC Ward Chairmen and other leaders of the party in the Local Government.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde while speaking at the event thanked the Convener, Mr. Bello Oluwasina Opeyemi for sharing the vision of the Governor which is encapsulated in the State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (SEEDS) agenda of the present administration in the state.

He lauded the organizers for the incentives distributed to the people and for their open endorsement of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as we prepare for the governorship primary.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde while re-assuring that Governor Aiyedatiwa would complete all ongoing projects in the state said the Aiyedatiwa-led administration is committed to empowering the youths and women and through jobs creation and grants to aid their businesses.

He said the Ondo State government is presently recruiting 600 health workers to fill the vacancies in our health institutions. The former Special Adviser said Governor Aiyedatiwa has also graciously approved the recruitment of 2,000 teachers to fill existing vacancies in both public primary and secondary schools in the state.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde accompanied by Hon. Adesina Adeola (Easy Way), the DG of LACO-FS in Akoko South East also paid visits to leaders of the APC across the 11 electoral wards in Akoko South East Local Government to solicit their support for the Governor at scheduled primary election of the APC. They included Elder Oloruntoba Johnson, Elder Katola, Bishop Araroba, Chief (Mrs.) Obafemi Florence, Elder Adegbola Rufus, Mrs. Awolowo Oluremi, Elder Olofin Ahmed (Amen), Hon. Balogun Gabriel, Hon. Kola Ajisafe, Mr. Ologunye Gbemi Emmanuel, Hon. Ade Adeeko and Mrs. Ogunbi.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde later graced the occasion of the 34th Inter-House Sports Competition of Ogoso High School, Oka-Akoko as the Chairman of the day.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde who was accompanied by a retinue of aides and political associates emphasized the importance of sports in youth development while pledging his continued support for education and sports development.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde who is the Patron of Yellow House highlighted the efforts of the state government in promoting sporting activities in the state.

Hon. Kolawole Babatunde and his entourage were received by the Principal of the School, Mr. Olotu J. I; the school’s Vice-Principal, Mr. Aworuwa; Chief (Dr.) Pius Ajobiewe, the Oru of Korowa-Oka; High Chief Ofosola, Asemoloye of Iboje-Oka and Chairman of Oka-chiefs-Council, Chief Olodeja (Shine shine) and Chief Oloke of Igia, Ibaka-Oka.
