Ondo 2024: Aiyedatiwa’s election is unstoppable —Ologbese

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Chieftain in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologbese has said no amount of shenanigans, vile propagandas of fifth columnists and vituperative tendencies of mischievous elements in the polity can stop Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa’s aspiration in ruling Ondo State in the next political dispensation.

In a statement personally made public to react to prevailing issues in Ondo polity, Otunba Ologbese who is the President, Advocacy for Good Governance cautioned those mudslinging on Governor Aiyedatiwa about certificate to desist as no amount of their horse trading for political opportunity can disturb the divinely ordained project by God.

According to him, some groups of persons have in recent times been raising dust and making noise to draw attention to alleged forged school certificate stressing that these are mere detractors and political jobbers seeking public attention.

“These allegations to the best of my knowledge are copiously baseless and unfounded. They’re figment of imaginations of rumour peddlers and loudmouthed demagogue”.

“When Ayedatiwa contested in a joint ticket with his late boss, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in 2020, this same certificate was the one submitted to INEC that was verified, accepted and acknowledged with no hues and cries then!”

“It’s only in Nigeria reckless allegations are levelled or fabricated against their leaders”, he added saying even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu suffered same faith as he was the most vilified Nigerian leader by fifth columnists and oppositions members over his academic certificates.

‘President Tinubu’s case was eventually referred to American court for determination which didn’t survived test of time and Ahmed Tinubu came out of the imbroglio a hero and remains number one citizen of Nigeria”.

On the matter at hand, Otunba Ologbese said a court of competent jurisdiction had already ruled in favour of Ayedatiwa that he didn’t forged his school certificate after series of enquires had been made from WAEC stressing that this step has put an end to all corrosive controversies about the issue.

“It therefore sounds illogical for anyone to continue to revel in ambient notoriety or illusionary adversities after this matter had been fully determined by a court of competent jurisdiction recently”.

“Those peddling reckless allegations are failed politicians who have already lost out of the contest”.

“Like what Biyi Poroye suggested in his press statement on Monday, there’s need for the masses to painstakingly probe into backgrounds or activities of some other aspirants in the contest whom we know their pedigrees or antecedents. At the appropriate time, comprehensive details about each one of them would be released to the public”, he added noting that anyone fighting Governor Ayedatiwa is fighting God, chasing shadows and living in a world of fantasy.

He further described Governor Aiyedatiwa’s aspiration as God’s own project while challenging anyone with proof or evidence of anything incriminating against Aiyedatiwa to bring it up.
