A former Presidential Aspirant and Chief Medical Director, Sckye Hospitals, Dr Thomas-Wilson Ikubese, has joined leaders across the country to celebrate this year’s Eld-el-fitri with Muslim community.
In a Sallah message issued on Wednesday to Muslims, Ikubese who is the Convener of the #YesWeFit Revolutionary Movement, enjoin Muslim faithful to maintain the same level of divine consecration and social uprightness they exhibited during the Ramadan fast, for these are necessary ingredients for building a functional society.
He said “I join millions of people all over the world to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters happy Eid Al- Fitr celebration.
“The past one month has been for you a period of self deprivation and dedication unto Allah.
“You fasted, prayed and eschewed every act that stands contrary to the injunctions of Allah and the good of mankind during the Ramadan period.
“As you celebrate the end of Ramadan fasting today, I enjoin you to maintain that same level of divine consecration and social uprightness, for these are necessary ingredients for building a functional society.
“Once again, I wish you happy Eid Al-Fitr and pray that Almighty Allah grants you and your family the grace to witness many more of this celebration in peace and good health,” said Thomas-Wilson Ikubese.
