Just In: Gunmen attack 18-passengers Bus in Ondo, kidnap Travellers

Report says unknown Gunmen have attacked an 18-seater bus, kidnapping unspecified number of travellers on Ikare- Irun Akoko -Ado Ekiti highway in Ondo state; SUNSHINETRUTH News can report.

The incident was reported to have occured at Irun Akoko/ Imesi Ekiti axis of the road.


The incident was said to have occurred yesterday’s evening.

It was learnt that the abducted victims are from Irun akoko, Ikare akoko and Ekiti communities.

A source at Irun Akoko told SUNSHINETRUTH News that Police men, Soldiers and Amotekun Corps officers from Ekiti and Ondo states with the cooperation of  Local Vigilantes are currently combing the forests to rescue the victims.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson of the Ondo State command of the Nigeria Police, Mrs Funmi Odunlami said police is on top of the situation, though she could not confirm number of those kidnapped as at the time of filing in this report.

Ondo State Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said his operatives and soldiers from Ekiti state were currently combing the forest.

He said: “The hoodlums did not kidnap the 18 passengers in the bus. Some of the passengers escaped themselves, while our men with soldiers recovered some of the victims in the night. Our men have combed the forest as we speak.”
