Protest: Govt has capacity to tackle economic issues —Ondo Senator, Adegbonmire calls for calm

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, has appealed to his constituents to remain calm and trust the government’s ability to address the current economic challenges bedeviling the nation

As groups and civil society organizations plan to stage protests across the country, with demonstrators demanding urgent ehaction to address the fuel crisis, rising inflation, and other economic woes.

The Senator acknowledged the frustrations of Nigerians but emphasized the need for peaceful dialogue and collaboration to find solutions.

“We understand that the current economic situation is challenging, but we must work together to find solutions.

I urge all Nigerians to remain calm and have faith in the government’s capacity to resolve the issues fueling the protests,” Senator Adegbonmire said.

The Senator assured Nigerians that the government is working tirelessly to address the economic challenges, including the fuel crisis, and that measures are being put in place to mitigate the effects of inflation on ordinary citizens.

“I am confident that with trust and cooperation, we can overcome these challenges and build a brighter future for our nation.

“I appeal to all Nigerians, especially my people in the Central Senatorial District of Ondo State, to give the government the opportunity to implement its plans and policies aimed at revamping the economy,” Senator Adegbonmire added.

The Senator also announced plans to engage with stakeholders, including civil society organizations, trade unions, and community leaders, to discuss ways to address the economic challenges and find sustainable solutions.
