Announcement of the Presentation of Instruments of Office and Coronation of HRM Oba Mofolorunso Adegboyega Arasanyin, Okeladeokin Arole Agba 1, Ajana Afa of Okeagbe

The community of Afa Okeagbe is set to witness a historic event as His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, presents the Instruments of Office to His Royal Majesty, Oba Mofolorunso Adegboyega Arasanyin, Okeladeokin Arole Agba 1, in a grand coronation ceremony.

This momentous occasion will mark a new chapter in the rich history of our community, and a series of events have been planned to celebrate this royal ascension.

Below are the detailed program of events:

Wednesday, 21st of August 2024

  • **General Environmental Sanitation:
  • Time: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • All residents of Afa Okeagbe are encouraged to participate in a community-wide environmental sanitation exercise to ensure our town is clean and presentable for the coronation ceremony.

Palace Sanitation

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
  • Everyone is expected to contribute to the cleaning of the palace grounds in preparation for the arrival of our esteemed guests.

Thursday, 22nd of August 2024
Isagun by Egbegun

  • Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • A traditional ceremony that will involve a series of cultural rites as part of the coronation festivities.

Presentation of Instruments of Office/Coronation Ceremony

  • The main event of the day where HE Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will formally present the Instruments of Office to HRM Oba Mofolorunso Adegboyega Arasanyin, followed by the official coronation ceremony.

Friday, 23rd of August 2024
Jumat Service

  • Time: 1:00 PM
  • Venue: Okeagbe Central Mosque

A special church service will be held on Sunday 25th August, 2024 at St. Georges Church, Okeagbe at 10am prompt.

Attendance is mandatory for all Afa Okeagbe indigenes, and we warmly welcome friends and well-wishers to join us in this historic celebration.

Let us come together as a community to honor our heritage and celebrate the ascension of our new Oba in a manner befitting our rich culture and traditions.
