The campaign activities of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo State have taken a new dimension as the party unveiled a fleet of campaign vehicles at its state Secretariat in Akure ahead of the Ondo 2024 gubernatorial elections.
The vehicles, allocated to party campaign managers and executive hierarchy across the state, aim to facilitate seamless campaigning and boost grassroots activities for the upcoming November polls.
Ondo State SDP Chairman, Barr. Gbenga Akinbuli, praised party members for their steadfastness and expressed confidence in the party’s readiness to secure victory.
He commended the party’s candidate, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), for his leadership and vision for Ondo State.
Akinbuli highlighted that support from the party’s 2023 Presidential Candidate, Barr. Adewole Adebayo, would continue in phases, describing the current batch of vehicles as ‘just the tip of the iceberg.’
OBA expressed gratitude to stakeholders, party members, supporters, and especially Barr. Adewole for his timely leadership. He assured the party and Ondo State residents of his commitment to securing victory at the polls.
The event was attended by national party representatives, including Southwest leader Hon Femi Olaniyi from Lagos and Oyo State SDP Chairman Hon Ogunlade Michael. Other notable attendees included Deputy Governorship Candidate Erelu Gbemisola Alabi-Sekoni, State Secretary Hon Jimmy Akinyan, and OBA’s wife, Mrs. Christianah Akingboye, alongside state executive committee members and LGA Chairmen.”
