The Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has led a team of royal fathers from different domains to pay historic royal visit to the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye at his palace.
The visit which is the first since the reigning Ooni asceneded the throne, is part of efforts by Oba Ogunwusi to foster cooperation, peace and unity among yoruba race.
Ooni who was received by Oka Chiefs, eminent sons and daughters including Senator (Prof) Ajayi Boroffice; the Akogun of Okaland, Hon. Olugbenga Omole and Chief Ategbole among others.
Speaking during the visit, Oba Adebori Adeleye described the visit as special and historic, noting that Okaland has an aged long relationship with Ile-Ife.
Olubaka explained that people of Oka Akoko are usually be referred to as “Okarufe”.
Speaking on the Visit at the Olubaka’s Palace the Akogun of Okaland, Hon. Olugbenga Omole, who is also the Special Adviser to the State Governor, said he was delighted to witness the historic visit.
Akogun Omole noted that such visit would foster love and unity in yorubaland.
