FORMER SDP DEPUTY GOVERNOR DESIGNATE ERELU GBEMISOLA SUSAN SHEKONI-ALABI JOINS APC, BOOSTS GOVERNOR AYEDATIWA’S RE-ELECTION BID.
In a significant Political move, Her Eminence Ambassador Doctor Erelu Gbemisola Susan Shekoni-Alabi, former SDP Deputy Governor Designate, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This development took place at Okeagbe, the Headquarters of Akoko North West Local Government Area during Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa’s campaign tour to the Local Government. She was warmly received by the Governor and The State Chairman Engr Ade Adetimehin. Other notable leaders present are, Chief Olusola Oke, Rt.Hon.Victor Olabimtan, Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla, Hon Fatai Atere, Hon. Obanla kehinde, Hon.Ayodele Akande, Hon.Ojo Akeju and Erelu Yemi Ajonibode were among notable party chieftains present at the event.
Her defection is seen as a major boost to Governor Ayedatiwa’s re-election bid, as Ambassador Shekoni-Alabi noted that her defection was facilitated by the Hon. Minister of Interior Dr.Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Dr.Tunji Abayomi and Asiwaju Olumuyiwa Asagunla.
She is expected to brings her wealth of experience and numerous supporters to APC.
With her impressive track record, Ambassador Shekoni-Alabi is expected to play key roles in mobilizing support for Governor Ayedatiwa’s campaign.
