Akure North Progressive Team to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa: Congratulations! ONDO IS INDEED GOING TO BE LUCKY IN THE COMMITTEE OF STATES IN NIGERIA.
A political group, Akure North Progressive Team has congratulated the Governor and the Governor-elect of Ondo State; HE Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Odunlami for their emergence at the polls as governor and deputy governor respectively, in an election where they had a landslide victory winning in all the 18 Local government councils in the state; a feat no one had ever achieved in the history of elections in the state.
“This was contained in a press release jointly signed by the leader of the group, Engr. Sunday Falae and its coordinator, Hon. Leye Akinola on Wednesday, 20 November, 2024 at IluAbo, Akure North Local government.
‘’For HE Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to have scored 366,781 in the November 16 gubernatorial elections – the highest in the history of governorship elections in the state – it shows that he enjoys the support and goodwill of the people; and we are very confident that the duo would reciprocate the love to Ondo State people through people-friendly policies and provision of basic amenities.”
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa had scored 366.781 votes to defeat his main challenger in the election, PDP’s Agboola Ajayi who polled 117,845 votes.
The group prays that God who made the Governor-elect victorious in the elections will give him the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to paddle the canoe of our dear state to a promise land.
Equally, they urged the people not to stop their love for the governor at the polls but to continue to support his government with prayers so that the administration would bring plenty dividends of democracy to the state.
The group wishes the governor and his deputy a glorious reign throughout their tenure in office.
