The Oyenogho of Mahin Land, High Chief Martin Oluwabusayo Oyenowo Ogungbure, has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami (mni) and the entire good people of Ondo State, over their victory on the governorship election held, last Saturday, 16th November, 2024 in the state.
In a statement issued to the press, High Chief Ogungbure described the election as a victory for democracy in Ondo State, as it showcased the divine mandate received from God and exhibited by the generality of the electorate in the state.
High Chief Ogungbure added that now that the election had come and gone, “it is time for the Governor to focus on the full-scale governance of Ondo State.”
“Although, I know that the Governor had not been distracted by the electoral activities, as his commitment to the governance of Ondo State has never assumed the back seat since he took up the mantle of leadership up to, and throughout the election period. Governance in Ondo State has undeniably assumed a new unprecedented pedestal under the current leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa” He said,
“The state is currently witnessing robust investments in road, water, electricity and rural infrastructure development, while formidable partnerships are being brokered consistently with both local and foreign investors towards fast-tracking the socio-economic development of the state.
“The leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa has brought much relief to the people of Ondo State in the last 10 months, and with his re-election, the governor can now settle down to consolidate his efforts towards facilitating the full recovery of the state’s economy.”
“Furthermore, with the overwhelming victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa (operation 18:0), it is expected of all sincere political opponents and actors in the state to close ranks and work in synergy and harmony, towards supporting Aiyedatiwa’s Strategic Development Plan for a Greater Ondo State, and for the benefit of all”
“I humbly appeal to the people of Ondo State to continue to remember the State Governor and his Deputy in prayers, for wisdom, protection, and well-being. I also urge all Ondo citizens to commit themselves to supporting the laudable initiatives of current administration in the state, and to gladly contribute their meaningful quotas in every capacity, towards the state’s development”, High Chief Ogungbure said.
