In a collaborative efforts of the SA to the governor of Ondo State on pipeline surveillance and waterways security, Engr. Alore Omosuyi and personnel of Amotekun Divisional headquarter in Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, have arrested a suspected notorious kidnapper, Terry Tinate Augustus a.k.a Black in Alape, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The office of the SA to the governor on pipeline surveillance and waterways security and Amotekun divisional headquarter Ilaje local government have been working in close partnership to enhance security measures in the coastline of Ondo State.

In a bid to secure life and property of the citizenry, the SA to the governor on pipeline surveillance and waterways security. Engr. Alore Omosuyi, has been a key facilitator in this collaboration, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to enhance proper security along the waterways in Ondo State.

On 8th December, a reported case of kidnapping in Lagos, prompted a swift response from the office of SA on pipeline surveillance and waterways security, Engr Alore Omosuyi and the Amotekun divisional headquarter Ilaje local government, after they got information from Commissioner of police special squad 1 of Lagos state.

They utilized their combined resources and expertise, they coordinated a joint operation to apprehend Terry Titnate Augustus, commonly referred to by his alias “Black,” is a suspected notorious figure associated with series of high-profile kidnappings in the Lagos. His criminal activities have been linked to an organized gang that has been responsible for multiple abductions, extortion, and other violent crimes.

Recently, Mr. Promise Mafimisebi and Mr Monday Ikuesan aka Akpan were arrested in Lagos after the alleged abduction of one Isa Ososa of Lamgbasa Ajah Lagos. After rigorous investigation Promise Mafimisebi confessed that they collected ransom of fifty two thousand dollars ( $52,000 ) from Mr Isa Ososa and that the acclaimed Pastors of redeemed church of God, Terry Tinate Augustus also known as Black who hail from Ajapa community, Ese Odo local government area of Ondo state is a member of their kidnapping gang.

Terry Tinate Augustus and his gang primarily operated in urban areas where they targeted affluent individuals and families. The modus operandi typically involved surveillance and planning, followed by rapid and violent abductions.

Reports suggest that the gang utilized various means of transportation, including stolen vehicles, to execute their plans swiftly. Mr Terry Tinate Augustus hideout is a in remote area of Alape community in Ilaje local government

The Office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Pipeline Surveillance and Waterways Security, in collaboration with the Amotekun Corps, has transferred the suspected kidnapper, “Terry Tinate Augustus,” to the Commissioner of Police Special Squad 1 in Lagos State. This transfer took place today, 9th December 2024, following an extensive interrogation after his arrest yesterday.

The successful execution of the operation not only resulted in the apprehension of the suspected kidnapper but also demonstrated the effectiveness of cross-agency collaboration in addressing security challenges in the region.
