The Ondo state government under the watch of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has concluded plans to carry out verification exercise for workers to ensure an error free payroll system.
This was part of the resolutions made at the state executive council meeting presided over by Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa.
The Head of service Mr Bayo Philip while briefing newsmen after the meeting said the move was not to sack workers, witch hunt or create panic but to ensure that the new salary structure was well aligned on the payroll system for accountability .
Also speaking, the commissioner for education , Mr Laolu Akindolire announced the approval of the sum of one billion naira for the construction of a befitting senate building at the University of medical science , Ondo with a take off grant of five hundred million naira including funds for renovation of dilapidated primary, secondary schools and technical college .
The special adviser to the governor on health , Prof Simidele Odimayo disclosed that cases of lassa fever had drastically reduced in the state but asked the people to keep their surroundings clean , use potable water and imbibe proper hygiene to prevent cholera outbreak in the state.
