The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed his commitment to driving development in the Akoko region of Ondo State, emphasizing his dedication to adding value and implementing strategic initiatives for progress.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo made this assurance when he hosted Mr. Gbenga Elegbeleye, Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League and a former House of Representatives member, alongside Mr. Bode Obanla, an aide to Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in his Abuja office.
Expressing delight over the visit, Dr. Tunji-Ojo commended Mr. Elegbeleye for his contributions to the region, acknowledging his role as a former lawmaker and Director General of the National Sports Commission.
He lauded the sports administrator’s dedication to the development of Akoko land and Nigeria at large.
The minister also extended his appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his leadership and support, assuring the people of Ondo State that he remains committed to serving them diligently in his current position.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Elegbeleye highlighted that their visit aimed to applaud Dr. Tunji-Ojo for his outstanding performance in aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s transformation agenda.
He encouraged the minister to continue his good work while advocating for greater development in Akoko land and Ondo State as a whole.
In his remarks, Mr. Bode Obanla praised the strong sense of unity among Akoko politicians, noting that such collaboration would translate into meaningful growth for the region.
He also called for intensified efforts toward the development of Ondo State and urged continued support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration to ensure sustainable progress.
