Hon. Ogunoye Ayodeji Emmanuel popularly known as Dynasty was on Thursday sworn-in as the Councillor of Oshodi/Isolo Ward 10 in Akure south local government.
In an acceptance speech, Hon. Ogunoye said he would protect the interest of his people.
Below is the full text of his reaction;
I dedicate this victory to the Almighty God, My late Father, My adorable wife and the good people of Oshodi/Isolo Ward 10 in Akure south local government.
I thank God for the gift of life, his numerous unmerited favors and sound health to be able to contest and conquer.
To my late father (Dynasty) who contested this same position about 19 years ago and died in the process, I consider this as a (VICTORY AT LAST FOR YOU)
To my lovely wife,i say a big thank you for staying by me and for your prayers.
With profound gratitude and great humility, I acknowledge the commitment of my fellow progressives, the leaders of Akure and the good people of Oshodi/Isolo Ward 10 in Akure south local government who have kept faith with us.
This struggle has never been about Ogunoye Ayodeji Emmanuel. It has been about you and the corporate sovereignty of Akure south Ward 10 people.
You have reflected what Akure history teaches us from the period of our ancestors about the courage of conviction with dogged determination within the ambits of the law and reward for diligent and meritorious leadership. Your choice and your voice have triumphed. At last, history is made.
I am irrevocably committed to the people’s project. I will serve my people diligently, and create opportunities for other young people to aspire to and attain great heights.
I thank the good people of Oshodi/ Isolo Ward 10 for their display of civility throughout the electioneering period and ODIEC for the various innovations that made the election seamless and credible.
It must be noted that today is a landmark on our journey to ensure that Akure and our dear state, Ondo state marches again, unimpeded, towards her manifest destiny.
