The Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, has delivered relief materials to victims of a recent rainstorm in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.
The materials, donated by the Governor of the state, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, were received by the Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Hon. Maurice Oripenaye, alongside other council officials on Wednesday June 11, 2025.
The relief materials which included roofing sheets, mattresses, nails and others, were distributed to affected communities, including Peteinu, Gbabijo, Oroyomi, and Magbehinwa. Hon. Adebawo, while making the delivery, emphasized Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to providing relief to distressed people across the state.
Hon. Wellington Adebawo noted that the Ondo State Emergency Management Agency, headed by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, has been working tirelessly to bring relief to affected communities.
Hon. Adebawo commended the agency’s efforts in ensuring that relief materials reach those in need, appreciating the Deputy Governor, Dr. Adelami, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, Mr. Idowu Ojo, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Kola Falohun, the Director of Finance and Administration -SEMA, Mr. Orunkan, mong others.
Hon. Oripenaye, Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing succor to the people. He praised Hon. Adebawo for his tireless efforts in enhancing the governor’s “Our Ease Agenda.”
Vice Chairman of Ilaje Local Government, Hon. (Mrs) Ranti Esejuwon, also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his kind gesture. She noted that the governor’s administration has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of the people.
Prince Ayantuga Ajurojo, representing one of the affected communities, thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for his humanitarian gesture. He also praised Hon. Adebawo for working around the clock to ensure that relief materials reach the affected communities.
The event of the delivery of relief materials was attended by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Prince Segun Odolo, and representatives of the affected communities; Chief Adebowale Bamigbose, representing Gbabijo Community, Hon. Ademuwagun Festus, representing Magbehinwa Community, and Chief Ekujumi Ala, representing Oroyomi Community.
