Son of Ikare industrialist, Sikiru Musa-Terere appointed as Community Leader

The Owa Ale of Ikare Akoko, Oba Adeleke Adefemi Adegbite-Adedoyin has appointed Son of a famous Industrialist, Mr Sikiru Musa-Terere as a Community Leader.

In a remark at the low-key installation ceremony, Oba Adedoyin said the choice of Mr Terere was for him to spearhead and fast track development programs in Ikare community, thereby continuing where his late father, Alhaji Musa Terere, who was the Community leader, stopped.

Oba Adedoyin who appreciated Terere’s family’s contributions to the community, and solicited the support of other chiefs and people in the community for the success of the new leader.

The community chiefs, women groups, youths associations and other members of the community also expressed delight at appointment of the new leader describing it as well deserved for Mr. Sikiru Terere.

Family members of the Terere Dynasty who were present at the occasion thanked the Owa Ale for honoring the Terere’s family with the position even after years of the demise of the former leader.

In a response, the new leader, Mr Terere flanked by his mother and other family members, promised not to disappoint the community pledging to influence to the area, more developmental projects that would open up employment opportunities for the youths and more importantly purse peace in Ikare.
