…..Akindolire Pledges Fiscal Discipline, Sound Policies as He Assumes Office as Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner.

The newly appointed Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Ondo State, Mr. Olaoluwa Akindolire, has vowed to lead the Ministry with diligence, transparency, and a commitment to sound fiscal policies aimed at transforming the state’s economic future.
Speaking during a brief welcome ceremony at the Ministry ’s headquarters in Akure, Mr. Akindolire thanked Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to return to public service, promising to justify the trust reposed in him.
“It is a great honour to return to public service in this capacity,” he stated.
Olaoluwa emphasized the importance of advancing Mr. Governor’s development agenda – OUR EASE – and highlighted his commitment to fostering collaboration with the Ministry of Finance to achieve this goal.“I am committed to fostering sound economic policies, strengthening our budgeting systems, and ensuring that we build a prosperous future for the people of our state.”
The Commissioner, a seasoned financial expert and former Accountant General of Ondo State, also charged the Ministry’s leadership to uphold key values such as the fear of God, loyalty, and professionalism. He assured them of his full support as they work together to reposition the Ministry for greater impact.
Earlier, the Administrative Secretary of the Economic Planning and Coordinating Office, Mr. Bamidele John Daisi, introduced the new Commissioner to staff and management.
He described Mr. Akindolire as a man of integrity, dedication, and exemplary service. “His appointment is a welcome development for the Ministry and the entire economic planning ecosystem,” Daisi said.
Other speakers at the event, including Pastor Stephen Aworere, Administrative Secretary of the Budget Office, and Mr. O.S. Ajayi, Acting Statistician-General, expressed delight at the appointment, hailing the Governor for placing a capable and experienced hand at the helm of such a critical Ministry.
“We thank His Excellency for entrusting this vital Ministry to a man with a proven track record,” Pastor Aworere noted. “We are ready to align with the Commissioner’s vision in pursuing the state’s economic growth and development goals.”
Mr. Ajayi added also, “We look forward to working closely with Mr. Akindolire to deepen economic reforms and drive sustainable development across the state.”
Mr. Akindolire’s assumption of office marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning which is poised to play a pivotal role in steering the economic direction of Ondo State.
