ONDO STATE GOVERNOR’S ASSISTANT ON EMERGENCY RESPONSE, HON. ADEBAWO VISITS FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE CG OLUMODE, SEEKS SYNERGY
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, paid a courtesy visit to the Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, at the headquarters of the Federal Fire Service in Abuja on Tuesday September 9, 2025 in his bid to explore ways to enhance the operations of the Fire Service in Ondo State and to discuss potential areas of collaboration between the state government and the Federal Fire Service.
During the meeting, Hon. Adebawo emphasized the need for Ondo State to collaborate with the management of the Federal Fire Service at the headquarters. He noted that such collaboration would enable the state to have improved emergency response in the state.
The Special Assistant also briefed the Controller General on the proposed summit on Emergency Response in Ondo State, which is slated to take place in the near future. He highlighted the importance of the summit, which would bring together stakeholders in emergency response to discuss critical issues and identify ways to improve emergency response mechanisms in the state.
Hon. Adebawo further congratulated the Controller General on his promotion to the position on August 14, 2025. He prayed that his tenure would be impactful and successful, and expressed confidence that the Controller General’s leadership would bring about significant improvements in the Federal Fire Service.
Reacting, the Controller General of Federal Fire Service, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, warmly welcomed Hon. Adebawo and his team to his office. He expressed appreciation for the Special Assistant’s working relationship with the officers of the Federal Fire Service in Ondo State, noting that their cooperation had been impressive.
The Controller General assured Hon. Adebawo that his door would be always open to him and that he would always be ready to provide assistance whenever needed. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state government and the Federal Fire Service, and expressed willingness to work closely with Hon. Adebawo to enhance emergency response in Ondo State.
Regarding the proposed summit on Emergency Response, the Controller General requested that Hon. Adebawo furnish him with the necessary details as soon as possible. He expressed interest in supporting the summit.
