In a bid to enhance security and ensure the safety and security of students and residents, Asiwaju (Dr.) Adegboyega Adefarati, the Honourable Member representing the good people of Akoko South-East and South-West Federal Constituency, has donated a Toyota Hilux to the Akungba Police Division and performed the ground laying ceremony of the Police Area Command Office facilitated by to Iwaro-Oka
The gesture underscores his commitment to supporting security agencies and promoting community development.
The ceremony was attended by the APC leaders, traditional ruler, security heads including the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal.
The Honourable Member felt sad reading on the pages of the newspapers the heinous crimes perpetrated in Akungba recently. As a result, he understudied the security architecture of the host community to Adekunle Ajasin University and discovered that the most proper way to respond to the security issue was not to write condolences but provide the needed support to our police. Hence, a brand new Toyota Hilux is donated to police.
The donated vehicle will significantly improve the police’s ability to respond to security challenges, patrol the area and maintain law and order.
This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the community, particularly with the presence of Adekunle Ajasin University and other educational institutions in the area.
Honourable Adegboyega Adefarati’s donation of a Toyota Hilux to the Akungba police division is a commendable effort to enhance security in the area.

Let me sincerely appreciate Iwaro Community Leaders who accepted the fact that security is not just a matter for the police; rather it is a collective responsibility that requires the active participation of every citizen. Last year, a high-powered delegation of Iwaro Community Leaders visited me and presented this project as the urgent need of their town. As your representative, who has always emphasized the importance of security in our development agenda, my reply was concise and precise. “Consider it done”. Today, we are laying its foundation and we will finish this first phase in a short period.
I would like to express my profound gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, and the entire police hierarchy for their unwavering support and commitment to enhancing security in our Federal Constituency and State. I also appreciate the hard work and dedication of the project team that has brought us to this momentous occasion.
As we lay the foundation for this critical infrastructure, let me reaffirm our commitment to supporting our security agencies and working together to build a safer, more prosperous Constituency for all. I assure you that we will continue to prioritize security in our development agenda, ensuring that our police officers have the resources and support they need to effectively discharge their duties.
In conclusion, I declare this ground laying ceremony a symbol of our unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our Constituency. Let us work together to make this vision a reality, and may God bless our efforts.
Thank you all!
