APC Bigwig, Chief Samuel Alade advocates spirit of communal services

…….assures Akungba Akoko of adequate support

A Bigwig in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ondo North Senatorial Aspirant in Ondo State, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade has advocated spirit of assisting various communities to develop, even as he assured Akungba Community in Akoko South West Local Government Area of adequate support for rapid growth.

Chief Alade pledged his support for the University community during his speech at the Akun Day 2021 Festival held today at Holy Trinity Primary school Akungba.

The annual Akun Day festival is an event that brings together, all Akungba sons and daughters in unity and friendship thereby reminding and inculcating in them the spirit of brotherhood.

This year’s festival was themed: “Consolidation On Unity And Development”, while residents trooped out in thier numbers to celebrate the new yam festival.

In his speech, Chief Alade commended an Ex Governor of the State, Late. Chief Adebayo Adefarati for his unalloyed benevolence showed to Akungba community.

Late Chief Adefarati was an illustrious son of the community. He was Governor of Ondo State from 1999 to 2003 under the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

The APC Senatorial Hopeful continued by urging well-meaning Nigerians at the colourful event to imbibe the spirit of altruism and toe the line of communal service that will be instrumental to the development of the Country.

He added that, “from time immemorial, the annual Akungba Day Festival has been a great event with sundry activities”

“On my own part, I will continue to support this obvious spirit of togetherness because if there had been no peace, the ambience would have not been conducive to receive in audience, eminent personalities from different walks of life”

“I commend the assiduous efforts of our father, the Alale of Akungba land, Oba Sunday Isaac Adeyeye, Ajimo III, for using his royal wisdom to pilot the affairs of Akungba”, Alade concluded.

In his majestic remark, Oba. Adeyeye extolled the good gesture of Alade, while thanking the him for honoring the timely call of the community.

However, Chief Alale implored the State Government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to help increase support for upgrading of Akungba from a rural to plural pedestal.
