Journalists, friends storm Ibadan as TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo holds Dad’s burial ceremony

Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, was aglow with emotion and celebration of life as TVC News Ondo State Correspondent, Ayodeji Moradeyo, hosted the final burial ceremony of his late father, Pa David Ademola Moradeyo.

The event, held at Jisol Hall, Ibadan, drew dignitaries, journalists, and well-wishers from across the South-West, who gathered to honour the memory of the late patriarch.

Among those present were members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, led by their Chairman, Omo’ba Leke Adegbite, and the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The NUJ delegation extended heartfelt condolences to the Moradeyo family, praying for God’s comfort and strength to bear the loss, while also urging them to uphold the sterling legacy of their late father.

In his remarks, Ayodeji Moradeyo expressed profound gratitude to members of the NUJ and other guests for their love and support.

“I express my heartfelt gratitude to members of the NUJ led by Omo’ba Leke Adegbite. They stood by me through it all, and I will forever be grateful,” he said.

Reflecting on his father’s life, Ayodeji fondly known as Ayolomo described Pa David Moradeyo as a disciplined and principled man who valued education and moral upbringing.

“My father was a disciplinarian who gave us sound education and moral training. His legacy will continue to guide us,” he added.

Pa David Ademola Moradeyo passed on January 15, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving behind children, grandchildren, and a lasting legacy of integrity and dedication.”
