Hon. Timilehin Adelegbe Set to Install 3,000 Solar-Powered Streetlights Across Owo/Ose Federal Constituency

In his bid to enhance security and improve the quality of life for his constituents, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, the honourable member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, has embarked on an enviable project to install 3,000 solar-powered streetlights across the constituency. This initiative is part of his commitment to delivering dividends of democracy and fulfilling campaign promises.

The project aims to improve security, boost nighttime economic activities, and enhance the overall standard of living in both rural and urban areas. Hon. Adelegbe’s vision is to ensure every segment of society benefits from good representation, leaving no one behind.

The installation will also cover worship centers like the Celestial Church, C.A.C Number 1, The Apostolic Church, and key security offices such as the Owo A & B Division Police Stations, Civil Defense offices, NDLEA Office, and various security posts across communities like Isuada, Iyere, and Usho.

In Owo Local Government, prominent leaders and institutions will benefit from the solar lighting installations. These include Barr. Kola Olawoye, Chief Tunde Olaposi, and Olori Olagbegi Aina, among others. Places of worship, traditional institutions, and security agencies will also be covered.

Religious Institutions will as well benefit in the initiative. The project will illuminate numerous churches and mosques across the constituency, including: St. David’s Anglican Church, Efirin Afo, Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Idoani, C.A.C Oke Isegun, Ifon Celestial Church of Christ, Okeluse Spirit of Truth Gospel Church, Ijagba Emure Mosque and Uso Mosque

Traditional institutions, including Asuada Palace, Oluyere Palace, Olupenmen Palace, Olose Palace, Alamurin Palace, and the Alale Palace, are also set to benefit from the solar lighting installations.

The project will also illuminate multiple towns and villages in Ose Local Government, including Ifon, Idoani, and Imeri. Over 25 farming camps will benefit. They include Iwoye, Ade, Daji, Otaloro, Asara, Abusoro, and Arimogija camps.

In addition, all police divisions, Amotekun offices, Civil Defense commands, FRSC posts, and NDLEA offices across the two local governments will be equipped with solar-powered streetlights by the lawmaker in his bid to aid night operations and enhance safety.

In his usual inclusive approach to give the non-indigenes sense of belonging, Hon. Adelegbe also extended the gesture to leaders of non-indigenes communities, including the heads of Hausa, Igbo, Ebira, Idoma, and Igarra groups in Owo to ensure that every resident benefits regardless of origin or religion.

With this project, Owo/Ose Federal Constituency is poised to become one of the best-illuminated and most secure constituencies in Ondo State, a testament to Hon. Adelegbe’s dedication to effective representation and progressive governance.
