Popular security expert, Olufemi Meshe, has drawn a nexus between government and Monarchs’ roles in Enhancing security of lives and property.
At the presentation of vehicles to traditional rulers on Ondo State by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Akure-born APC chieftain salute the vision of the governor “which touches virtually all facets of human endeavours.
“Look at the infrastructure upgrades through massive road construction, urban renewal initiatives as well as the development of the education, health, agriculture and other sectors. Now our traditional rulers are also again feeling the impact of good governance through the EASE mandate of the Aiyedatiwa administration.”
Meshe said the vehicles would further enhance the livelihood of the traditional rulers who he described as the “real grassroots leaders close to their people. The truth is, these Monarchs do a lot in ensuring peace, the hallmark of security in their various domains which then translate to overall security of lives and property in the state.”
He described the move by governor Aiyedatiwa as a right step in the right direction.
