The Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Ondo State is intensifying its efforts to boost political awareness and engagement among citizens, saying this will shape Nigeria’s governance and leadership landscape.
This renewed commitment was underscored during a strategic meeting with polling unit leaders from Ondo East and West Federal Constituency, where party stalwarts emphasized the imperative of informed citizenry in driving meaningful change.
Hon. Bolaji Daramola, a prominent leader of the party, underscored the YPP’s resolve to offer Nigerians alternative leadership options, stressing that the status quo can only be altered through concerted efforts aimed at entrenching a culture of political literacy and active citizenship.
He emphasized the need for Nigerians to be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the democratic process, thereby holding elected officials accountable and shaping policy directions.
A key proponent of grassroots empowerment, Hon. Daramola has consistently worked towards enlightening and mobilizing constituents, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility among citizens.

According to him, the YPP’s mission is to catalyze a paradigm shift in Nigerian politics, one that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and responsiveness.
Echoing this sentiment, State Secretary of the Party, Henry Olonimoyo, reaffirmed the YPP’s dedication to investing in comprehensive empowerment initiatives, designed to equip citizens with the requisite knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
